Wilmslow Phoenix Sports Club

"Wilmslow Phoenix" is a multi-sports body and currently comprises Wilmslow Hockey Club, Wilmslow Lacrosse Club and Wilmslow Wayfarers Cricket Club. Commodores Drum & Bugle Corps is an associate member. Wilmslow Phoenix Astroturf Ltd operate the floodlit all weather pitch in a joint venture arrangement with Phoenix.

Phoenix essentially operates the whole site and the facilities for the benefit of all the sports sections and occupies the site as lessee on a long-term lease from the Cheshire East Council. The sections make use of the site and the facilities operating under arrangements made with Phoenix.

The Sports sections, in order of length of time of membership are:

Wilmslow Hockey Club

Runs several ladies' and men's teams as well as teams comprising entirely junior players and mixed age teams. Games are played on the astro Saturday afternoons and occasional Sundays. Training under fully qualified coaches is organised during the winter months on astro Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, with separation of trainees according to their levels of skill.

Wilmslow Wayfarers Cricket Club

Runs two senior sides on Saturdays with additional fixtures being organised on weekday evenings and the occasional Sunday. There is a strong junior group and matches are organised at under 19, under 16 and under 14 levels. Coaching  and training take place on Monday evenings.

Wilmslow Lacrosse Club

Runs 2 mens & U19 teams, 1 ladies plus junior boys & girls at U12, 14 &16. Junior games are played on Saturday mornings (boys), Sunday mornings (girls) and Saturday afternoons (men & women). Training under fully qualified coaches is organised during the winter months on Astroturf Thursday evenings

In addition to the above Phoenix is host to Commodores Drum & Bugle Corps who use the site and facilities approximately once a month during the summer for practice of their competition routines.

All the above bodies have are Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC) accredited, have Child Protection Policies and CRB checked Child Protection officers.
